Everything I feel becomes so easy to hear
Inside this quiet darkness as I lay myself to rest
I can hear my own broken heart crumbling inside my chest
Each piece singing so softly to me
Like that of a bittersweet symphony
A broken lovesong held on repeat
And the pain seems to get worse
With each tired beat
Closing my eyes I try to center the pain
The air is warm outside
But inside my soul there is a storm of heavy rain
My skin pale, yet warm on the surface
Doesn't compare to the dying little child inside me
Still struggling to find a purpose
Without you the world just seems so wrong
And my hands are broken from holding on so long
Still clinging to every memory you left in my mind
Desperately trying to catch up
From being left so far behind
And inside this quiet darkness
I let my tears embrace my face
Speaking the silent emotions
That I feel inside my cold, lonely place
An emptyness that is displayed in my eyes
A sadness so thick is bleeds through my skies
Canvasing my world in a thick black haze
Holding a picture of you
I lay patiently waiting for the brighter days
Here...in this quiet darkness. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 207 [topic] => 32 [informant] => bleedthelove [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SadPoetry )
