My Judgement Day

Contributed by flamingblade on Wednesday, 9th April 2008 @ 11:01:53 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

It pours down
an acid rain.
It's cold but burns
hot as a flame.
The emptiness I feel
the pain that makes me kneel,
has together blended,
to create a life ended.
It screams and shouts,
then turns and pouts.
But a loud crash and a grasp
pulls away my skin, taking away my disguise,
and the flames come up, and burn away my blood.
The voices whispering in my ear,
takes away the security, the warmth.
Your hate, contempt, all in one
Has killed me now, in a single blow.
But nothing matters, not anymore,
I'm not what you wanted,
never good enough.
I can't be perfect, though I've tried,
All the times in my life that I've lied.
The sorrow you made everytime you yelled,
has now crushed me, and made me a shell.
I crawl into my small safe place,
and listen to the crash,
You breaking in just to lash.
This whip of hate and suffocating love,
borders on obsession,
keeps my thoughts from above.
As you scream and the harsh claps of thunder
rain down on this house,
I curl up and cry for my tender life.
My life bleeds away, my soul letting go,
praying for "God" to let you know,
I'm sorry for all the things I said,
But you never listened as I bled.
I wasn't what you wanted, what you prayed for.
All my life it haunted me, unperfect, unworthy.
I'm not perfect, I never will be.
I tried to please everyone, but they'll never see.
