You were never here.
I tell myself, as I watch you walk away from me,
And, for the millionth time in my life,
I dread the loss of you.
You leave and I die.
Slumber, until your kiss revives me,
Until your touch awakes me,
Until I’m starving for you.
Each word, each breath,
To another would reek of decay;
Yet I long to hear them, taste them,
With their sugar-coated bite.
A bitter pill to swallow,
That I should lose you,
The second that I truly, honestly realise,
That you are my world.
Forgive me,
I never knew, how much this could hurt,
I don’t mean to wallow, or cry,
But as I said before, you leave and I die.

Great poem. I know how that could feel. If this girl is real do not show her this poem though. If you truly love somebody you would never put that kind of pressure on them. That they hold your life in their hand. Great expression of thought however. Keep up the good work. |
