A LOVER'S GOOD NIGHT

Tis a time worn phrase yet I know its true
Still all I can tell you is that I Love You
When the ground is powdered with snow
Our blissful future is certain, of this I know

I love thee as the sun brightens our day
I adore thee as the moon shows us the way
Let the brilliant fires of my love ignite
Your eternal happiness and delight

I Love thee and your pure heart of gold
My it protect thee from the winter's cold
And in the days ahead while we are apart
I beseech thee to lock my love in your heart

Please, I offer thee my Heart to share
Keep it with you while I'm not there
My love goes with thee as to bed you go
May you sleep and dream in a golden glow

May all your dreams be glorious and bright
As you slumber peacefully throughout the night
When you awaken to the sun’s brilliant glow
Think of me and allow our eternal love to grow

All my love I send unto thee on a golden wing
May it forever grant thee a heart of eternal spring
But now I must sorrowfully bid thee good night
Always know that I love thee with all my might
