with my every slash

the blood pounding in my ears
deafens me to the screams
i am dead inside
to stay sane i have to be

fragments of bone
shower me like morbid snowfall
when i tear my axe
wrench it from your skull

covered in gore
blood glistens on my face
stench of death
each breath intoxicates

caught in the embrace
of familiar battle lust
