The petals of my heart begin to wilt.

Too young to have left us, why did you go?
The answer to which no one will know.

Heart stopped cold when I heard what was done,
Chip came home to find the place where you hung.

Mind going numb; it couldn’t be true,
This couldn’t be happening-- not to you.

Spiraling, spinning, and losing control,
This place in my heart is an empty hole.

So easy it was for you to make anyone smile,
Your sense of humor was oh so versatile.

But the pain that you felt was kept hidden so deep,
And I pray that you now may be at rest where you sleep. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 399 [topic] => 39 [informant] => marie [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Grief )

I'm very sorry for the loss of this person. He must have been very special to you. There is no other way to write words that are so meaninful, than those that are taken from the deepest part of the heart. My prayers to him..... and you. Excellant writing and flow.

Great write, hits you powerfully like a punch in the chest. I work for a charity who prevent youth suicide in my country (new Zealand) and i have exspereinced the devistating effects of suicide and felt it creep up upon myself, it is a horrable subject which ever way you slice it and you have portrayed the pain that only someone who has exsperienced it can feel, good write, so sorry for your loss
