or at least that’s what this compass I got in a bowl of corn flakes told me
to do when I go camping in the disgusting cesspool

I’d rather start in the middle
and work my way diagonally through this tetrical minefield
instead of simultaneously stopping to smell the roses
and indulging in circular reasoning tactics
because just like James I’ll be drinking Irish tonight
and no one can stop me
when I’ve become in charge of ruining my own life
just as easily as I can build it into the most bland,

This was very interesting. Your author's note really hooked me, that idea of going against the conventional and the expected is always fun to read. Nicely done.
