For everything I've ever put us through
I hate that feeling of remorse
I get everytime I look at you
If I could only change my ways
And be that perfect daughter just for you
Would everything be better then?
And would you finally be happy too?
I'm sorry that every single night when you come home
You yell and then we always fight
If only I would ever learn
That your stressed out, when you come home at night
So go on have another drink
I know you need it
Go ahead
But this time can you remember please
Not to throw the house phone at my head
Sometimes your not soo bad at night
But its getting harder to keep track
What is it that goes through your head,
When you twist my arm behind my back?
What is it that your thinking
When you burst though my bedroom door
I bet it makes you feel like a man
All those times you've tackled me to the floor
But its ok daddy...
I know you love me more than this
Your like my own dr jackle, mr hyde
Same story, with a different twist
I'm really truly sorry
For the harsh words I've ever said
I hate that I'm responsible
For all the tears I've seen you shed
I swear I never meant it
You'll see the truth is in my eyes
A real true momment of honesty
Apart from all the hurt and all the lies
I swear I love you daddy
I'm sorry if its never shown...
Oh wait, I have to go now
Cuz Guess what? You just came home. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 273 [topic] => 23 [informant] => jazzyfizzle [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 8 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => FamilyPoems )

This is a good write, it shows the very real pain that is in having a parent with a problem.
Keep hope, and Keep wrtting.
Peace be with you always.

I was once married to an alcaholic. I know what kindda hell they can put you thru.
do you have a mother with you?
This is very sad but well written.
I hate to be the one to say this but you shouldn't blame yourself for what he does to you. If it's that bad you need get out, call the authoritys or something.
it's not your fault that he uses alcahol to hide his own insecurities. After all he's suppose to be the adult and you are not his toy to sling around or hit with phones in the head.
Get some body to help you.
Even tho alcaholism is considered a disease that's not your fault either.
Keep writing and I'll put you on my prayer list and keep you there.
big luv, huggs, prayer,
emy
