Array ( [sid] => 140941 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => To Love Again [time] => 2008-03-12 09:06:28 [hometext] => This poem was written for a friend who is struggling with letting go of forbidden love and is afraid that she might never find true love again. [bodytext] => To Love Again

At night I lie awake in bed
Thinking of what you’ve done and said
And wondering why I love you so
Yet still I can not seem to go
On living without you, but why
For all I ever do is cry
I’m angry that you crowd my mind
Why is it that I’ve been so blind
I see now how you taunt and tease
You never really meant to please
And yet I can not make myself
Let go and put you on a shelf
But I know God will guide the way
And hold my hand throughout the day
Especially when I'm feeling sad
It’s Him I’ll trust to make me glad
My friends have told me what is true
To make myself let go of you
Then one day I'll love again
My tears will no more pour like rain
And leave their streaks upon my face
But be dried by love so warm, no trace
Will be evident and no one will see
I’ve suffered, because now I’m free
To love again, yes, love again.
