The storm came casting evening
deep into the shadows bleeding.
Eyes like the night dreaming...
Eyes of mist in swirling blue

The night so hot , so sensual
Deep , red and luscious lips
Grinning teeth. Licking , biting ,
longing for vampyric kiss

Twilight deep in bleeding shadow.
Fountains in the rain. Little
statues weep like fallen angels
Found your ecstacy in pain

I lean so carelessly. I'm waiting
dressed to kill and will my lady.
Eyes fade like flowers decaying
but have no fear my love

for soon you will live again.

excellent poem, although not quite what I was expecting. I especially like the third verse. Glad to see new work by you.

Oh, my little black heart is all aflutter...

A powerful beauty, with moonflesh... I love this. I love the dark images you convey, the mist-filled cemeteries, and black lace... Exquisitely vampiric. And your form is very reminiscent of Type O Negative. I really hope you make this into a song. I'll listen to it on a stormy night with eyes closed and a soft smile. Absolutely beautiful, my friend. I hope you dabble more into this soon. I miss your writings. =)

With love and black roses,

A fellow shadow in the night,

~S.

doug, this was a beautifully dark piece of desire,
need and possession. You do justice to these
writes, my friend. With every word, I am
captivated against my will. lol Must be the
allure of the dark side. Completely gripping!

well done poet!
