Array ( [sid] => 140836 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Foundation [time] => 2008-03-07 10:32:12 [hometext] => sometimes things were not as they seemed, reality strikes and the foundations crumbles...... at times our fantasy bubble is burst isn't it? [bodytext] => There was no firm foundation
it just took now to realize
the value of family
was lost and contrite.
Four walls void of love
for the sake of how it should be
Life of pretense
and false intent, blinded to see.

Years of dysfunction
have taken there toll
and gardens void of function
death to heart and soul
Fantasy land of how it should be
the blinders come off
the heart begins to bleed.
The foundations crumble
fall swift to the ground
wounds raw and wide open
truth tossed round and round.

The tears flow unending
softly hitting the ground.
The grasp of the past
becomes a heavy thorn crown.

The night beckons on
reaching for light
darkness holds tight
increasing the strife.

Truth of the foundation
bitter mixed with sweet
tis the art of forgiveness
that still eludes me.

becomes a heavy thorn crown"

well this was excellent, I loved the final stanza the most I think. It help the greatest truth for me, it was where I connected the most with your poem, and overall I think the poem was very well written, great job with this one.
