You say yours has too,
We hardly know one another.

A brief moment in time,
A feeling so sublime,
You not being here is harder.

Hours spent in each other’s arms,
To my heart it was like balm,
You were so close to being my lover.

So quickly you were gone,
Leaving my heart without a song.
This almost makes life tougher.

It is so odd how you swept into my life,
I didn’t even feel my strife.
You are quite the charmer.

The thought of you makes me break out in a smile,
You put all my bad feelings into exile,
I feel like such a dreamer.

I have to agree with emy, the title really is the hook that draws you in.
The good thing is that the rest of the poem keeps you on the hook from first to last word

such is life...of brief encounters, longings and a barrelfull of possibilities...
someone has wisely said
...care more than others think is wise;
...risk more than others think is safe;
...dream more than others think is practical;
...expect more than others think is possible.

wonderful write..

Love always,
Umang.

Wow, what a great experience, and great job putting it into flowing words. I enjoyed this and lived vicariously for a moment. Thank you.
