Through vacant sands
Singing hymns to my broken heart
As the world falls through my hands
Dressed in the solitude of my own skin
Kneel me before a cross
Help me repent and confess my sin
I feel a sadness undescribable
Searching for answers in the scriptures
I lay my life upon the bible
Captured by an undying faith
My broken heart rests upon the ability to believe
There is salvation among the pain
That even in the midst of this suffering
There is a moment to rise, to gain
But I am so blinded by the sorrow
I see the world burning inside my eyes
And I question the desire for a tomorrow
Sipping from a cup of holy wine
Intoxicating myself with the blood of the divine
At the alter upon my weakened knees
I pray I'm not held in contempt
For this sadness that has plagued me like a fatal disease
I am starved by the despair
Hungry for peace within my tortured soul
I have come to you in hopes that I do not lose control
With a kiss upon my crucifix raising my eyes to the sky
Arms stretched open as I begin to cry
May the angels that I deem to exist
Embrace me within their wings
Bestowing to me the strength to persist
For I cannot do this alone
That is why I have kneeled before your sacred throne
Dragging my lifeline with what feels like my last breath
Here I walk in the in the valley of the shadow of death
In search of peace for my broken heart
Something more divine than what I know to pull me through
Dear God I lay my life upon my faith in you.

Your realm of thinking is very exotic and diverse. You write of darkness and then bring forth poems as pure as this one. Thats very remarkable. I'd like to examine your mind....you interest me. Good job yet again!!
