Lingering deeply within thoughts lost.
Stuck in webs of emotional ties
heart string pulling through directions cast.

Included in nothing, left out in cold winds, just wanting honesty and to be let in.

Sifting lightly trying to mend the way,
times amiss and things astray.
Many things coming from all directions
like the waves in a storm crashing onto the rocky seascape.

Rain patters the windows and the night is quiet, softness in sounds of wet.

The clock ticks and interrupts the silence,
hour chimes and floors are paced.
Inventing the plan of a souls release
let it drift light with the rain.

Turn it over to someone else, it is what it is that is the way is shall be.

Michelle, damn! You touched me with this one, hun. I have been in
this place and man oh MAN! you described it incredibly well! Yes,
how many times would we trade our happy mindless thoughts
for just a bit of honesty? I would rather be sad in the knowing,
than be blissful and deceived. I love your use of rain here ... it can be
so cleansing, can it not? Beautiful work dear poet. Deeply emotional..

*hugs*

~Breezy
