Array ( [sid] => 140037 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => God Help Me Help Him [time] => 2008-01-27 04:15:50 [hometext] => This poem was written as a prayer dedicated to my twin sons. [bodytext] => Why do you carry so much anger inside of you?
What has happened to make you so blue?
Oh how I miss your joyful face.
How it brought so much cheer into this place.
Son, I wish you knew that when you hurt, I hurt too.
Oh how I long to see you Happy all day,
And how I wish I could make the hurt go away.
I want to be a surgeon, scalpel sure and true,
I would build a new heart just for you.
Installed with it a knight whose mission is pain to slay.
A surgeon I couldn’t be, my hands are too old.
However I thought of another way, if I could be bold.
I will fall down on my knees and begin to pray,
Upon God I will request this day.
Please heal my son is what I will say.
Lord I lift up my son to your hands to heal.
I ask you to restore in him a new heart, one so real.
Give him peace, joy and love, take his anger away.
Please, God help me help him,
With his anger teach him to deal.
