Never Knew You Had

Contributed by Saruchan on Thursday, 24th January 2008 @ 04:12:07 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Across the ocean wide you flied,
The blue must have glistened brightly that early new years morn’
And the clouds must have been whiter then fresh snow from above,
The tears in my heart where locked away that day,
As the rooms in my soul where emptied as you walked away,
And life lost its color and the sun its warmth,
How was it that my heart belonged so much to you,
I never remember a time when I gave you so,
Nor a time when you were not there in front of me,
As I walked silently and unnoticed behind you,
Supporting you without you every knowing my words,
Watching your strong shoulders shiver in the cold,
Knowing that you only thought that you where alone,
When I was three steps behind you the whole time,
Through my smile you would never know my pain,
And through my laugh never show the tears,
But there are no more tears that can come,
For I would never have enough tears to ease the loss,
Nor help express my vacant heart’s grief,
You are still alive to me,
But I must be dead to you,
I make it to where none would see,
That everyday I awake is just another day without you.
So you stepped into the white and green plane,
Taking all you owned and all that you never knew you had.
Me.
