Array ( [sid] => 139974 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => I remember.. [time] => 2008-01-23 13:45:42 [hometext] => I was going accross some old poems and ran accross one that made me a little emotional..it was the comments from everyone here...you guys are amazing. [bodytext] => My Door was shut, locked and bolted
I was too afraid to let anyone in.

I didn't talk, I suffered in silence
and slowly i began to disapear.

I don't know when, or how exactly,
But i opend up, and now i'm free

I talk, louder then others usualy
I stand, for what i know is right
I believe, without His sacrafice
i would be lost forever.

I still have some things to work on
But i look at how much i've grown
and i can't help but start to cry.
How confined i felt, how distant and alone
I never want to go back there
I never will, i guerentee that.

I would like to give thanks to everyone here
a comment is more then a simple comment
it lends support, and often proves
there are people who care,
who won't let you drown.

When my door was shut,
You all came knocking,
with cookies, and shovels to boot..

I also have to thank everyone else
who have come in and out of my life.

for each expereance there is a lesson
bad or good, it all aids you along your journey

Thank you to my fiance,
without him i don't know
where i would be,
true love can work wonders
on a broken soal.

Lovely words stary .. and it's so good to "hear" that you are happy and well. ^_^

There is a humility in this that sinks down deep and breaks a heart
with tender care. Soft and gentle. That's how this feels. And it's beautiful.

Did you mention cookies?? :D I've got the coffee on, now bring on the cookies!!

*hugs*

This is such a beautiful write and so easy to relate to, at least for me it is. it really is amazing to look back at how far we have come sometimes. the comments we receive really do give a writer a boost in confidence.

Graciousness is a wonderful thing and I quite often say a little thanks goes a long way. So with that, this is more than a little so it will last quite a long time. I really like the sentiment you have written about with this one and I think a lot of people share that sentiment when one reads their works or thinks of other things they are thankful for. I wish more people thought like this.

This obviously conveys you have a very wonderful soul.

Take care,

Tim
