Inside a mind restrained
A heart refrained
Locked up tight
My emotions fight
Disconnect
Bleed through and reflect
Signs of insanity
Could I be a threat to humanity?
Speaking my mind
To a world so blind
Going against the grain
Got me labeled insane
Force fed pills
By a society that kills
I'm one of the few who oppose the "norm"
Who break the form
Break the silence
Oppose the violence
Speak free
Live to be
Unlike the rest
With my hand on my chest
I stand apart
Pledging allegiance
To my own sacred heart
To my own views
What I choose to believe
Not what I see on the news
I won't fall into those lies
Because even the rebellious
Are seen in Gods eyes
It doesn't matter what you preach
Or what you teach
Because my mind goes deeper
Than what you can reach
It's both a gift and a curse
Open my mouth and let the words disperse
Because sometimes this choas
Is too much to contain
And you can call me crazy
But I'm far from insane. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 292 [topic] => 25 [informant] => bleedthelove [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 33 [ratings] => 7 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => MiscPoems )

bleedthelove,

Excellent! Raw...in your face...sacred rebellion...I particularly related to the line, It's both a gift and a curse...I've been there...heck, I'm still there! I'm afraid in this world crazy-insanity is about as healthy as it gets!

Go for it!
