Array ( [sid] => 139682 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => wake up [time] => 2008-01-09 14:04:09 [hometext] => i wanted revenge. wake up. its not my fault. realize its all you and let me move on already. [bodytext] => Wake up because today’s a new day
Throw away the old frowns and get out of my way
I bust that stupid rear view mirror and turn up the radio
I look past all those annoying haters and fake plastic hoes,
I live my life for my tomorrow and my tomorrow for today
I need my time to be serious and my nights to go out and play
I wipe off that old lipstick and put on a new coat
Because tomorrow’s coming fast at you so try to stay afloat
My hairs a mess around my face and makeup smeared everywhere
But tonight is the night that I go out and catch you in midair
You won’t be ready for this blow, the mud caked on your face
You had a hard time sleeping and you know that it’s too late
You might be asking what I’m talking about and do I have a story for you
The guy that hung me out to dry is the guy that wasn’t true
He said he needed a break and for that I shrugged off the pain
I didn’t realize what was coming; I went along with his game
Of course he thinks that he won this match that he thinks he played so well
Well, if he didn’t know it already, I’m going to be his living hell
Not verbally or physically will I tear his soul so deep
But I have a plan that will smack him silly and knock him off his feet
I’ve changed so much from those 8 years and man, he won’t know it’s me
He’ll think he’s picking up some chick and then throwing her out happily
But it will all backfire on him and I can’t wait to see his face
When I dump him on the spot and then demand a chase
When he catches up with me, only because I’m in heels
I’ll brush him off daintily and like him, I won’t care how he feels
Some might call this terrible revenge, but I need this for my own sake
Then I can go to sleep at night and he’ll lay awake counting mistakes
I could be the angel here by saving him from his own game
Or I could be the little devil and make him wallow in his shame
Whatever I decide to do I’ll do it with a true smile
The fake one torn right off my face tangled in your vile
Mistakes that I made are in neon lights and it’s all because of you
I can smile for real and become the real me for I won’t be so see-through
Just put the past behind me and go on with the rest of my life
Because everyone deserves a happy ending and this isn’t how you use a knife.

Wake up because today’s a new day

They say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I say if you can't kill it, don't hurt it in the first place; otherwise, you're just ***** it off. Thanks for proving my point, o woman what which fury Hell hath no ;)
