As the world sleeps ~ A slow wind blows,
Time is always and never slows,
Stars do twinkle and clouds roll by,
Sight is endless ~ Just like the sky,
Sound is muffled ~ As if it knows,
That life at night slumber flows,
A slower pace for life exists,
As darkness covers with its mist,
As the world sleeps on this night,
A jolly old man begins his flight,
His sleigh is silent ~ As it must be,
For him to work from ocean to sea,
No engine is made for his sleigh,
Time is of essence ~ No time for delays,
As the story goes ~ And it is true,
Eight reindeers are still his crew,
They pull his sleigh ~ To fast to see,
No time for mistakes ~ Children believe,
So, on this night he still comes out,
For the children who have no doubt,
The sleigh is full ~ As is his bag,
Toys to deliver under all nations flags,
Children are children all over the world,
This night belongs to all boys and girls,
So, the jolly old man, reindeer and sleigh,
Will be back home by the break of day,
As children awake and begin to squeal,
It’s hard to deny ~ That Santa is real.
MERRY CHRISTMAS
