Young Lad
A young lad of
Irish descent with know one to represent.
With hopes and dreams.
With know one to guide
Him.
Outcast by family and friends,
With know one to takes him in.
Shunned by family, all he wanted
Was to be a brother to them.
As he learns life on his own
Trouble follows him
Where ever he goes.
Finally a grandfather and
Uncle too boot, take him
In to learn the old ways.
The teach him of old
Family values, morals and gods.
For this is the old Irish
Custom, for those who have lost there way.
The y teach him of family
And respect for the opposite
He one day might mate.
Now years gone by grandfather is gone,
The uncle has grown old and wise.
The family wants him back
But it’s too much for him to take.
The pain runs deep
And the scares are ugly.
His life has been sad and
At times too much to take.
Still looking for happiness
In search oh his dream.
It’s up to him not to make the same mistakes.
Patrick
