Hibernating in my own mind,

Sowndarya,

I have been there, been there, been there, been there...over and over and over again...searching, searching, searching...I don't think it's much of a stretch to say, We've all been there. Most of us, live there.

It hurts, it aches, it whittles away at whatever hope we have been able to muster. Your poem is a fine expression of this pathos. I would be considered old by many; fifty-six and a half years. In the last three or four years I have discovered, I was always looking for Loving approval, some heartfelt expression in the eyes of another that I was significant and worth something, because I did not Love my Self. I did not approve of my Self. I viewed my Self as insignificant and less than worthy. I needed somebody else to do for me what I felt I could not do for myself. I was searching for someone to Love me because I did not Love my Self. I have experienced two divorces because another person cannot be expected to be the foundation for our Self-worth, Self-approval, significance and most importantly, our Self-Love.

Your poem effectively expresses the pain and ache of this dynamic. Nice work, really...

Dear Grieved of Love,
No one but a wounded in love knows the ache of losing one who you have felt as only yours.
May no one lose in love.
