They lie about me and talk behind my back, but it always happens to be when I am standing behind them listening to them. I have to do what I have to do but I don't like it. But with every hurtful word they say,

My heart breaks in smaller pieces,

I try to pick them up and put it back together,

I hear them keep another secret from me or lie about me,

They say I drive them insane,

But they never stop and that maybe I feel the same,

They are slowly taking my very existence away from me,

And they don't even care,

They say I'm a pain to be around,

And act like I'm a disease,

They say things behind my back when they think I'm not there,

But with every hurtful word they say,

nice write but seems you need some better friends cos like they say keep your friends close and enemies closer but look for true friends and thew will reveal themselves from unlikely places you'll see keep on truckin

Real friends don't treat anyone like this.
They are more than likly jealous 'cause you seem to be a better person for putting up with their crap.
There's no excuse for their behavour.
Walk away from them and the way I see it the loss will be there's and not yours.
Hold your head up and be proud of who you are. You're better off with out friends than to be treated this way.

I loved the beautiful transition from being there, hearing them, to the world of the writer, picking up the shattered pieces.
