Perhaps sitting down face to face
non-verbally to relate,
so we experientially communicate.

We sat there in silence,
and gazed into each other's eyes.
Shared emotions begin to materialize,
and tears stream forth as we cry.

One must not assume,
that the tears represent gloom and doom.
Intense were our emotions,
an expression of our deep abiding love.

We gently touch each others cheek,
then our fingertips rub so gently together.
We both shiver as an electric spark ignites between us
and we experience an unprecedented spiritual connection.

We stand and embrace,
and squeeze against each other,
and can feel each others' heartbeat.
Tears of love begin to flow.

We cling to each other,
reveling in the splendor of the moment.
Beyond any words we can say
Our eyes meet again, and we smile.

Our souls unite
and agape love springs forth.
An expansion of love manifests
and not a single word was spoken. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 620 [topic] => 2 [informant] => Willofree [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 15 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )

My mother used to tell me, "Sometimes son, ya just gotta learn when to keep your mouth shut."

Took me a good many years to realize the correctness of that phrase and here... you and she... and now finally I, all see eye to eye.

A pleasant read Terry, thank you.

Will,
This was an absolutely stunning write. This is so romantic, subtle but electrifying. You made it easy to picture the scene. Thanks for sharing....fantastic piece.
Peace and hugs,

Oh will .. this was so heart warming. Like the feeling you get at Christmas, only
you keep it always. Such a glow in a heart that is in love and can share it, no?

You expressed this emotion eloquently and beautifully here, my friend.
I ADORE the last stanza. Damn!! That is pure poetic loveliness.

Great post!!
