Array ( [sid] => 138548 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Soldier Boy [time] => 2007-11-16 06:00:24 [hometext] => Please this is my first poem i have ever written, please can i have some feed back. If it is rubbish please say. ty [bodytext] => A soldiers boy

Soldier boy soldier boy tabbing through the night
legs tired, back aching but never losing sight.
Eyes keeping watch through the trees and the fog,
But if he loses concentration then he may die,
as the enemy watches every step soldier boy takes.
One foot wrong and it end in smoke.

Machine guns firing, shamoolies up, Keep your head down
Get behing that rock. The bullets keep coming theres only
one thing to do. Charge that enemy, be brave be bold be a fool.
Fix bayonets, fresh magazine , this will be in tomorrows papers
for the civvies to dream.

I have to stop there as it wouldnt be fair. As soldier boys experiances
are very unfair. Wounded in the leg , shrapnel the medic says. Carry on
you scilly mare.

So the story is never be heard. Be quiet and you will never be disturbed.
A soldier has his own story to tell, although it maybe a bit full.
When you go to sleep tonight make sure you pray as soldier boy will be
out in the night so you can sleep as soft as clay.
