do we truly get to and choose,

has this journey be precolored
for this life that we lead,
by destiny's hand bestowing its deed,

can you draw out the sunshine,
in the remote of the rain,

let go of old demons
which often remain,

when grey is surrounding,
i succumb to the mood,
then the rainbow reenters,
the fears again subdued,

must my outlook be be contingent
on the colors above,

can i break free of this paralysis ,
and revel in pure love,

deep within darkness, i know its there,
for ive seen it in glimpses
but stoppped short of the dare,

deep rooted scars ;childhood shadows of shame,
press deeply with somber shades
that relight their flame,

out on the ledge one foot flirts with escape,
one staying centered,
for now on blind faith

sky of greys, sky of blues,
do we truly get to and choose,

has this journey be precolored
for this life that we lead,
