As silent as the waves

Grief

Once there was a beautiful girl,
with bright, blonde curls.
Her skin was ever so fair,
her eyes were sparkling green.
Her pale lips always in a smile.
She met a man,
who had no job or home.
He was the opposite of the girl.
His hair was shaggy and dark,
his skin dirty and grubby.
His eyes were flat black,
while his smile was malevolent and almost a sneer.
The girl pitied him,
and took him in.
But all he wanted
was to see her dead.
He took to the rocky shore,
the sweet girl.
And within the bloody sunset,
he stabbed her,
Over and over.
Splat, splat.
She still breathed
and he was not satisfied.
Then he slit her throat,
opening it wide.
Finished with his fun,
he threw her body into the dark bloody sea.
As she faded away,
into the blackness.
Her eyes open wide,
staring into nothing.
Her beautiful face,
forever etched in a scream.
A scream never to be heard.
A cool, deathly cry
as silent as the waves...
