All the way to grade ten.

When she was ten she was hospitalize for
cutting her little brother
Through and through.
She said it was an accident but only
Sally will ever know the truth.

At eleven she tried to commit suicide.
She sliced her wrist with a soda can twist.
Just to keep a secret she had inside.

"Why did you do this Sally?"
"Why did you try to die?"

And so she was hospitalize.
She spent a year until she was twelve.
Then they thought she was well.
But her life was still a living hell.

She cried alone in her room every night.
Listening to the voices made up in her head.
Hearing the screams of a childhood nightmare.

Feelings of death.
Feelings of dread.
Fellings of shame that just won't go away.

She made it a year with these feelings these fears.
But then she was caught in school one day slicing her
Cares away in the girls locker room.
So they asked.

"Sally why so much self hatred?"
"What is this secret you keep down inside?"
"Why do you want to die?"

It's ok to tell us we just want to help you get well.
No word was said just a tear that bled red from
a young heart that was raped.
To which she knew no other escape.

This time they locked her up for almost a year.
Put her on drugs which
made her sink deeper in fear.
She thought she was well.
But she just couldn't tell.
This secret she had that made her life a living hell.

She's now sixteen just in tenth grade.
All the kids tease her.
She has scars all around.
She's called Sally the slicer it's all over town.
Even her parent's say it when she's not around.

She has this secret.
Who can she tell?
No one would believe her.
Her dad is a physician as well and she promise

NOT TO TELL

She writes of her life in poems and in songs.
Puts them on-line.
So someone might listen and read between the lines.
Post a comment that is heart felt and heaven sent.
Who she can tell this secret from hell.

He raped ME since I was five as far as I can tell but I love him
he's my dad and he made me promise not to tell.

Who is here to listen?
Who is here that I can tell?

No one cares
No one can see me
All they see
are my scars and what I tell.

And as I say Good-bye.
I bid you all farewell.

For they found her in her bed.
A glass of red wine.
Red hat Red cane.
And a letter to family and friends.

Holy Cow! This poem put a real shiver down my spine. Until the end it was hidden yet obvious, a sign of a molested girl. Until death. The unbearable pain that killed her. Perhaps this could be a wake up call for the world, to rid it of peadophiles, or perhaps it should be publicly published.
I don't know but maybe you should sit and think. Great write it surley has made my faveourites list.

Wow, that was a deeply moving write. A horrid subject matter, that you wrote about quite well. I am sickened by adults who chose to steal the life of a child, in such a cruel, inhumane way. Some folks are just sick as hell. Pedophiles need to be imprisoned with other pedophiles and given mental consultation. Castration should be considered. (just my own opinion) Too many times, pedophiles are released right back into the public only to molest a child again. It's friggen wrong.
Thanks for sharing.
Peace,
Laura
