i am different- murky
lost
invisible
it agitates, stirs the silt
up from the bottom
time settles all arguments, between
me and my lovers
as it is for you, i am sure

rolling, tumbling, still
if you knew me then
you would know now that
to move is to own it-
to take five clipped steps forward
is to say in final words,
that you are ready to begin
no matter the coming out of it

i am ended, sad
a photograph shows blank eyes,
heavy set heart,
mind lost
am i listening?
and i can hear the man question my intent
am i questionable?
i seem to be only questions now
once i was more

"I seem to be only questions now"

There is a multitude of emotion in that one line, alone. Heck, that last
stanza itself, is full. There is a great deal of conflict inside your
words. And there is an apparent need to clarify actions. Damn. Being
put in that position is both unsettling and distressing. You've done
well capturing the sadness that follows ...

Excellent post. Very emotive

inlovewithaladd,

...you have described a universal pathos...most of us are not brave enough to ask questions, much less find answers. Living a life of artificial pretense. Masked actors in a masked world. Seeing the cracks in the canvas, but too fearful to ask, Why? You are brave. You are tenacious. And, you are one hell of a poet!
