Following a path that leads far from home
Behind her lays the mess of all her shattered dreams
And with nowhere to go she splits down her seams

Her love in true has left her mind
The messed up life she left behind
It will follow her down every road
But forever in her heart she still holds hope

She trips, falls, then stumbles on through
Shes blinded and crying and calling for you
Wondering if shes truly all alone
On the road far from home

A broken heart for a shattered soul
No-one to love a now empty hole
One last time she'll say her good night's
Then lays where she falls and succumbs to the

Light

Dedicated to my Girl

Whom i miss more than ever

It's a beautiful write, sad, but beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Let her read the poem if you haven't already.
Much peace,
Laura

There is something dreadfully painful in that very last line. Damn, this is
heart wrenching. You have really gripped emotion by the throat here.

But that last line ... such a soft finality to it .. an end that doesn't end,
you know? I mean, it could be read in a couple ways, but just the
word, "light" has such a beautiful connotation to it. You could see
this as ... damn, this heart can no longer dwell where there is pain
and sorrow .... or you could see it as, this heart is removing itself
to lead a much more glowing and beautiful existence.

meh ... maybe it's just my interpretation and all the romantic
notions caught up in my very OWN heart that make me see things ...

either way ... a wonderful write. Painfully beautiful.
