[hometext] => take a crack at it..
[bodytext] => There’s a child racing down the street Two sneakers, one sock Both untied The bedraggled car that passes by Slows to look in an open window of the manor Then speeds on to change direction A bluebird foraging through compost To find suitable housing for her young Nestled in the birdhouse in the shape of the colonial The carefully manicured lawn With quartered off sections for flowers to bloom Is far less colorful than the field of dandelions next door Rainwater rushes towards the gutter Carrying with it all the day’s excess items Dirt, salt, paper and plastic, leaves and a diamond ring An intricately carved marble fountain lies Detailed with beautifully carved creatures, meanwhile The cat beneath uses it for shelter, unimpressed The grandiose architecture boasts immaculate symmetry Coated with brilliant white paint As the walls inside crumble under the weight Two people are situated in opposite corners of the house Both oblivious and unconscious to their surroundings Caught in the very respective holes of their very respective minds.
