Watching every move I make, trying hard to give
To give you what you want and to give you what you need
But it's so hard to see what you really want from me
You tell me you love me and say that you're for real
But why does love bring us pain that never seems to heal
Don't get me wrong I still love you more than ever
I just don't understand why you want to be with me forever
The reason why I ask is because I feel so controlled
I feel like youre shaping me into some kind of mold
If you don't like almost all the things I do
How can you want me to be married to you
Yet despite all the things that we have been through
I still want to try to work things out with you
From the day we first met I knew I was in love
You're the one I prayed for to God up above
Things are kinda shakey between you and I
But i'll always love you despite these tearful eyes

I'm stuck inside this careful life I live
Watching every move I make, trying hard to give
To give you what you want and to give you what you need
But it's so hard to see what you really want from me
You tell me you love me and say that you're for real
But why does love bring us pain that never seems to heal
Don't get me wrong I still love you more than ever
I just don't understand why you want to be with me forever
