Tomorrow will bring new battles,
But for the moment, the bed sheets are warm,
Your body moulded under them,
And I find myself wrapped around you,
Staring into the melting emerald of your eyes,
Losing myself there,
Until the mattress becomes bare,
Covers pulled away in frenzy, fire and flame.

I know you.

The secrets that you hide within your heart,
Have their own place in mine,
Intertwined with my dreams,
Where they belong.
In this half shadow we lie,
Thoughts of torment and deceit painting the canvas of our memories.

Sometimes, I forget.

How good it feels, in this heated abyss,
Where nothing but the moment matters.
I can cease to exist, for now at least,
Forget to think,
As I lose myself. With you. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 274 [topic] => 22 [informant] => Ruby2sdy [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )

*sigh* such a wonderful feeling, to care so much for soneone. But is she really with you, or is she there in your mind, for comfort? Sounds almost like regret. Like the POV let go of someone and didn't realize what they had until it was gone... then began to really miss that person's presence. Beautiful poem. I really really liked it. ~Adreana

Your writes usually take me to the edge and back. So close to pain but splendor....if that makes any sense. I just know I recognize these feelings. Feelings of knowing something feels so good, but for some reason it can't or won't last. Good write.
Thanks for sharing.
Peace,
Laura
