Last May you found the perfect guy,
Who was well liked, even by your daughter.

Mom, your big day is finally here,
It's great to see you so happy.
My best wishes to you,
For I love you dearly.

I've sat here all my life,
And saw you take it all in stride.

For as long as I can remember,
It's been just you and me.
For the longest time it seemed,
That was how it was meant to be.

But as I grew up I realized,
Even though you love me so;
There seemed to be something missing,
Things weren't so perfect for this duo.

I like this very much indeed Candice,
And I'm sure you Mum and Family will too.
I've tried to read it with what I can imagine your accent to be like(probably nothing like you!), to get an idea of how it'll sound when you read it out in front of everyone!
And it'll sound great, I'm sure.

Dean, I am glad that you like it. I am not sure if I will read it in front of every one (a little too scary for me) but I will read it to my mom. I am kind of curious as to what you think my accent is. You never know; you might just be right. Thank you for your comment.

This is so sweet and nices. I can hear this is about your mom and you. I could always say my moms always there for me . I try to be there for her like she was there for me

Trisha,
Yes I do have a very close relationship with my mom. But that isn't very hard to imagine because almost all of my life it has been just my mom and me. So you can get really close to your mom when she is a single parent and you are an only child. But I am very happy her now that she is getting married.
