These are the times when doubt seizes my mind
And these are the times when I am sure to fail
Because I can never say what I need to say
And this time it isn't even one and one, it's one and two
And I'm the one with the un-loaded gun in their face
And why?
Because I realize that this isn't some stupid t.v. show?
That these are real hearts that are under the hammer?
Or is it because I'm not into the game of just checking off names?
I'm not real sure, but it's funny how in an instant
my life can become so hypnotized
And then in even less time my life can become devastated
And all I really wanna do is leave this situation
but no matter how desperately I pull on the trigger
the gun is still un-loaded
And all I get is that empty noise
which reminds me that I can never leave

But no matter...who really wanted this all anyway?
Oh yeah...I did, it was just me.

"As Long As You Get It All, I Can Be Okay"

These are the times when doubt seizes my mind

Jumping the gun... not always the best solution. But it's hard to calm down and think with a level head when you're desperate. Great write. Thanks for sharing it!!
