Blown Away

Topic:
anguished
|
Being fed upon
by maggots of self-destruction.
Eating at what was left
of a woman, so scorned.
Hot metal rods
thin and cruel
pierce my temples.
Excruciating pain befalls me.
The grip that I so
frailly have on this
reality called life,
slips more each long day.
Left alone within.
Hopelessness abounds.
Eyes have been clouded
over with Cataractous lies.
Pieces of me scattered,
hacked away at the core.
Nothing left to sweep up, I was
blown away when you opened that door...

Dang! There's a lotta pain in this piece 'n' 'ppears ya've captured it well. It ain't contagious, though, so go out 'n' share some peace 'n' happiness 'n' git a bunch of it back. You're a winner. Know that fer a fact! Nice capture with masterful use o' words. Makes it purty darn powerful.
