Morning would you go away
and leave me to my bed
Morning would you go away
and let me lie instead
upon the thoughts
of a dream now passing
with the dawning of your light
I wish that I could return again
and go back to last night

So

Morning would you go away
and leave me to return
before the dream starts fade
and leaves me here to yearn
upon the thoughts
that now do tease
as they slowly fade away
a longing now
so often sought
upon the break of day

So

Morning would you go away
I ask you once again
Morning would you go away
as I now pretend
That it all never happened
and that I never saw your light
as I try hard to remember
the dream I had last night.

Conversely I find that those minutes between waking and getting up after a lovely dream are wonderful. A good dream leaves me feeling relaxed and at ease with the world no matter how much thoughts of the morning to come are undesirable. I do agree however that if those blissfully fuzzy moments could somehow be extended I would jump at the chance!
