No joy in seperation where longing was born
Unwilling and circumspect finds aching breast
Mind and heart doubt the veracity of sweet

Agonies wrought in future emptiness too real
The sick hollow masks the eyes from all color
Everything grows cold, gray and almost lifeless
I dare you to enlighten, where is the sweetness

All too soon, nothing is to be found but cloying palor
Shells of afterthought wishes, sad rememberances
Dreaming perhaps there may be the hope of return
Glimmers of renewed embrace provide saccarine escape

Will the desire for revival of pleasant reveries negate
Are tired shadows scattered with wistful aspirations
Credibility seems contrived while consumed by flagging faith

Hmmm You played these words well, my friend. Sadness, bittersweet sadness filled me whilst reading this incredible write. The third stanza I found very moving. Thanks for sharing.
Peace and hugs,
Laura
