now first light of day

the sun comes up slowly, far high in the sky

the mountain speaks softly and tells me why,

this sky streaked with pinks and blues in haste

for this colour inspires life, gives a lovely taste,

with thoughts of my life touching endless time

clever nature brings words to me, and rhymes,

as one only needs to be open to see and hear it

i see this beauty and simply want to share it,

it is so brilliant up here in the morning mountains

the gentle breezes blow freely and never complain,

as the sun comes further in, and the mists take flight

full morning explodes and away goes the night,

and the sky changes to brighter and deeper shades

the blue beauty takes any pain away, it begins to fade,

so massive and wonderfully extreme is nature

and these morning sunrises will always endure,

the sun full up lovely, far high in the sky, whereas

the mountain still speaks softly, time at an impasse,

now full bright the day

ah, some excellent imagery Vanessa your poems are always beautiful though. So the genre Poems on Beauty is kind of redundant (I think thats the right word) anways great poem!

I love the beginning and ending line. The middle lacks focus. Sharpen!
