As I float away
My time here with you
Has just gone astray

I watch the night close
But I won’t say goodbye
Please know that I love you
And try not to cry.

I grow weary of change
And of what light might show
Someone please help me
I’ve got nowhere to go

It’s getting harder to see
As the light grows dim
I hold on tightly
But my future is grim

I break out in tears
And try not to scream
But I fear this new light
As it starts to gleam

The moment draws near
And I gather my courage
I am leaving here now
I feel no more signs of discourage

I am scared in this travel
But have reached this new place
I feel so relaxed
Because of this enchanting face

Your right there beside me
Holding my hand
I thought I had lost you
In this far new land

I’m sure we’ll be missed
And our friends might say
What will we do?
Now that our world has turned grey

They’ll struggle through
This brand new demise
But they will only grow stronger
And hold back the cries

They do not know
How happy we are
Defining this new moment
That they can’t see from afar

We’ll grasp our new wings
And learn how to fly
And find our way
In the great open sky
