We need to give this desert back
Back back
Back back
By the way
Bravery is what the coward’s lack
Give it back
Back Back
We’ll wring out the tears enough to make it rain
We’ll stifle all fears enough to stay the pain
They may be proud of such a heavy handed rein

But it can’t stop the movement in the veins
Let it rain

Let it be today
We desert this path and find a different way
Today today
Today today
Let it be today
That lips once closed finally have their say
Today today
We’ll have our say
Clear the sky to shine on the ground we gain
Clear our minds and lose any fear of shame
They’ll judge harshly but we’ll never plead insane

Cause they can’t stop the movement in the veins
Let it rain

Why do we feel like we exist to die?
Why do we run away when we can fly?
We hesitate to act and never bold enough to try
We abandon ideas too hard to carry out
Are we waiting for an answer from God
Waiting for the slightest sign of a nod
Waiting for the go to even out the odds
So that we can exist to live

The movement in the veins
The movement in the veins
The movement in the veins...

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
