only wishing everything would just go away

turning off the world around you

while you lie awake in fear
unable to stay sleeping
to close your eyes

So desperate
to push it away.

Only turning around
to stare it in the face

dissecting what's inside to see

every uncertainty
every minor insecurity

Loathing
Everything
that you are

And feeding the sickness
with ugly little lies.

a fragile mind set

becoming a puppet to your own delusion

twisting and bending
at every selfish impulse

until it breaks

and the strings snap
severing the fatal connection

The boiling point is reached
Unable to keep inside.

A decision must be made

a strike to the mirror
shattering the image

one final blow

and eyes close tightly
shutting out the light

closing the connection
between reality
and your personal fiction

facing fears
and final decisions

as every falls apart

there's a way out
always a way out

an escape to be made
selfish
and thoughtless

Opening the last door
and taking a breathe
as everything you ever created

goes to waste. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 234 [topic] => 36 [informant] => Forgotten_soul [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Suicide )

Damn. Very final indeed!

There were some very fine lines in this and the emotion
was felt with every word. I like the way it's written.
Like the thoughts of someone at the end of their rope-
feeling like there is no other way out. Well done.
