The many questions raised receive mute reply
Sinking trust arrives with such a terrible cost
A broken anchor would describe what was lost

Wondering what it was that earned this fate
It's really not something you ever anticipate
As a child of life, you are so acutely aware
When faith is lost, time doesn't wait nor care

Beset with future's uncertainty, alone yet again
Forced to recall the past by the ignorance of men
Just the same old story but on a different page
A broken heart; too many tears; impotent rage

Where shall you turn when the turmoils done
Perhaps your back to then, your face to the sun
Emotions are an outpouring of the mind's construct
And this pain is only one side of that end product

Time's march will dry your pillow and heal your soul
Know always that life is yours and you have control
So, please don't stand there wondering what to do
Hope, happiness and trust are completely up to you

it is so hard not to fall in love with your words..
every line sent a shiver down my skin, its not often a poem can do that.
i keep changing my mind to which stanza i love most, its so hard to not love all of it in one go..
your poetry is a joy to read even if the content may be sad. it still makes me smile and have just a tiny bit more self belief...thank you
