Clouds
in a hundred shades
of blue
Catching sunlight on
crystal droplets
sending down a rainbow
colored ladder
from the heavens
Paint brush strokes
across the sky of rain
rain...falling
but never reaching
the ground
Going to grab
that ladder of hues
Climb all the way
to the top
Step on to a cloud
aloft
Walk on blue cottony
carpets and become
Lost in...
cumulus dreams.

Beautifull.
Makes me think of the hours I use to lay on the ground when I was a kid and cloud gazed.
Have you ever written on a napkin or toilet tissue?
good work.
huggs, smiles,
emy

Nothing more relevant to a poets soul than cloud gazing.

Nicely woven.

as always,

Oh my, sis. How utterly and incandescently beautiful!!!
I so LOVE this piece, hun. It's like drifting into a soft dream . . .
yes, a cumulus dream! Could anything be more
tender and lovely than that? wow. I ADORE the picture you
put with this, as well. How delightful, especially on a grey
day like it is here today. I love the rain, but a warm day of cloud
gazing stirs my soul like nothing else!

Beautiful words, sis. Too beautiful to be left jotted on
the back of some random piece of paper. lol Thanks for
sharing. *hugs you tight*

~MG

This is just the perfect poem for my mood! Its been drizzling on and off here since Monday but when I drove home from work today it was beautifully sunny and I couldn't help but feel uplifted and happy after a difficult week. Nothing like a bit of cloud-gazing to soothe the soul!

And the last line...
"Cumulus dreams"...
...I love it!

Dom

Ummm Peace and contentment! This is how your poem left me feeling. And stirred up memories of childhood, too. Nice write. Think I'm heading outdoors now to lay on the grass. LOL Keep on writing, and I'll keep on reading! ;o}
Peace to ya
