Array ( [sid] => 13694 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => John Lennon [time] => 2003-03-04 05:00:00 [hometext] => Often, people that become special in early life die younger than the rest of us. Then we beome more aware of how special they were. [bodytext] => A loving, sensitive man,... John Lennon,
who had found peace
and his place in life.
Unruffled by the clamor from various people
with their conflicting struggle and strife,
he had faced his fears and his choices
and settled those matters within.
He'd grown through the restless confusion
and found resting in faith could win.

He had, at one time, in earlier years,
been considered a rebel and upstart;
time subtly reached into those souls
with these seeds of truth from his heart,...
not great philosophies
or grand sounding speeches,
but a simple message
through the notes of a song,...
of passing moments or deeper wishes,...
or life's sad loss or pain of wrong.

He is suddenly gone,...
Much too soon, so it seems.
We have listened and loved
his sweet music and dreams.
From the darkness of the world,...
From a lunatic's gun,...
the bullets came fast;
there was no time to run.

We ache from our loss;
we cry our heart's hurt.
Is this tenderness ended
in a grave in the earth?
Oh, this world is a vile place!...
There is no sense in it!...
One of God's lovely people... stolen,...
by a sin's sick fit!

As we dwell on this evil,
the world is hopeless and dark;...
we take life for granted, then,...
no sunshine,... no song of the lark.
We feel angry and helpless,...
"Oh, what can we do?"...
Life is fragile and uncertain
whether you're old or brand new.

We can't hear his music,
For the pain is too near;
but time will go on,
for God's love is so dear;
our hearts will be healed
as we live year after year,...
we'll listen again to the music
and it'll be a joy to hear.

The mad man's life
will soon be forgotten;
John Lennon will shine,...
God's child won't be down trodden.
I grieve the dark sins of our people,...
they seem so many and strong,
then,
comes God's light through a John
and overpowers every sin, every wrong.

Thank you, DreamWeaver, for remarking about John Lennon. Yes, it is true that he enriched many lives although he was controversial. Hope we can beautify the days of folks, too, don't you? Your friend, Bizzy
