The Day the Sun Came

There was a day the sun finally came,
Golden dew mornings chased away the rain,
Summer's warm breeze blew away all the pain,
Rampant, ripe rays burned away all the blame.
A thousand new postcards are new born today,
As all those dark memories are sun soaked away,
Sweet and warm kisses destroy the dismay,
We dream in lush meadows, surrounded by hay.
Two lovers amble down the old sunset lane,
Brown eyes meet blue, feel so happy again,
Waving at tractors and scarecrows with brains,
An old world renewed, the day the sun came.

This was a breath of fresh air. After reading over a few “everlasting pain” poems, it was nice to read a Sunny write”
Well Done, Keep it up, we need more writers that offer some hope to the gloomers and doomers.
