-Far Away-
So distant yet close at hand
The mind reaches out to touch the imaginary
Intangible
Indefinable
It is the whole of life outside
The essence of nothingness given shape
Hope granted life where darkness would hope to overcome
But no, there is shape to this will
Steel to this mind
Distant but grasping
Tendrils of dreams reaching out
Looking inward
Feeling the area between
The grey innocuous field between
What we are
And who we dream as
Who we dream to be
Far away
Far away we drift to find what we lack
Place those we are missing
Sense that which is beyond ourselves
Building castles in the sky
Seeking eyes in the dark
We find our escape
We realize as we define our sacred hidden place

I liked this. I really found it to be a trippy little read. I love some of the images your words conjured up. Nicely penned.
Peace,
