Perception of Perception

Contributed by tiggytom on Monday, 20th August 2007 @ 02:55:17 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Without, why is it I can go without
Yet Im left here bleeding when I have it all
No foresight of loss, if it's gone then it's gone
A half moon crescent completes the circle of the sun

Braindead in your wisdom, it's only just begun
Revolution without movement
Immitates the back hole sun
Movement and enrolment you believe you have control
Not knowing we are children, we are not yet whole

Without knowing or caring where it is we are from
The moon, venus, or even the sun
Are we starchildren who lost way in the fun
Or are we reptlians proclaiming it's begun

Spend some time to pretend you are blind
Move around in your usual way
It's not so easy, it's not so kind
Do you notice the difference
Are you starting to sway

We are seeing what they show us
We're believing what we're seeing
As if the door I am opening it really exists
The hand I am moving I know it's not really there

Perception of our own lights reception
Projected by the mind we are as one
What you see I am seeing
What you feel I am feeling

Molded, sculptured from when we are young
Without having a chance to realise who I am
I'm told and I'm showed what I am, where I am
What to do, what not to think or to say
Conditioned to be just another man
Follow the plan laid down by a hand which is not my own

For example you train a dog to give it's paw
In the same way we're trained to give more
Punished by the fear of our life
How do we fear this when we know not what life is
Perhaps life is death, and it's death that will free us

Without knowledge of what greets us once this life is over
It's amazing how we fear this, then again it's not us
Now I'll stop rambling and leave you to your thoughts
Remember to think when you find the time
To consider your position, remind you who you are
Maybe you wont find the answer that you're looking for
But this realisation just might be the beginning
The beginning of the true recognisation
That we are not giving in the way that we are living
We are just wasting this life which we've been given

Maybe just maybe if we all take control
Of our individual meaning,we might just become whole

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
