Cry Another Day

Wake up, drifting away
Sleep leaves, but the sorrows stays
Wiping my tears, you hate me for my ways
I hide my face and cry another day.
Be the best, make me proud you pledge
But the stress of it all pushes me closer to the edge.
You scream at me for everything I do
I don't know why
I even try
I'll never be good enough for you.
The sun comes up, the sun goes down
I try too hard and look like a clown.
Okay for awhile
but then one mistake
The stress is too much
I need a break.
I can't keep you happy for very long
Maybe you would be happier if I were gone.
You scream so loud
When I fail to make you proud.
You threaten me with beatings and so on
The pain eating at me is so strong.
Harder and harder you push me away
I hide again
to cry another day.
