Ben [time] => 2007-08-10 04:05:11 [hometext] => A poem i was inspired to write by what i read on here by other poets going through what i use to go through in a younger day and believe it or not , even nowadays, i might add. [bodytext] =>

Perfection we are, contrary to beliefe, yet life seem's quite unfair,

robed of ourselves at an early age societie's burden we bare.

How? i ask, in the name of life do we all become who we are?

we're under the gun by twenty one then shiped to the nearest star.

We need to be love'd and excepted to know who we are in advance,

instead all we are is rejected disregaurded and left to chance.

Some one will cut them self today because of what love has done,

then there are those who will go high tech getting off through the

mouth of a gun.

The one who is young the one who is old and of course the one in

between, not to mention the one who come's on here knowing they

won't be seen.

What's to exspect from illusions? that fancy word for a dream, while

our egos suffer contusions as we learn nothing's what it seems.

The lonely the helpless the one's no one want even the homeless have

grown nonshelant.

Ok so your young and very alone and nobody understands or like me

you are old and suddenly told no longer is life in your hands, well in

case you didn't know we're born perfect, but try not to tell any one, you

see there those behind doors that are closed, who would rather you

just played

dumb.

Ben

Made me cry, Ben. Your beautiful honesty. Your heart larger than life. (I still think your love with Joan is perfection my friend) Yes, I know, it takes years to perfect some things....somethings just are. You with the wisdom, that I totally respect and have come to love. You're alright, Brother Ben, yes you are. *wink*
Much peace, love and hugs,
Sister Laura

I like your statement about us all, young and old, having downfalls and problems... but we all started out perfect. Life... it's crazy... and we crazy people are it's beautiful product *sigh* Great write! ~Adreana

I had to read this twice. Not because of ambiguity. But because i agreed with it. It makes me wonder what influenced you to write this. peace
